How does the text end up behind the subject?

Pixlane separates the subject from the background with the same on-device matting used by Remove Background, draws your text over the original frame, then draws the subject cut-out back on top, so the subject covers the letters that fall behind it.

Which photos work best?

Photos with a clearly separated subject — a person, pet, or product against a distinguishable background. Text reads best when the subject sits over the middle of the frame.

Can I use more than one line of text?

Yes. Press Enter inside the text field to add a line break; up to four lines are rendered.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

Supported image content is not uploaded for processing. Matting, text compositing, and export run in your browser; site analytics and the assistant are separate.
